Hi all,

Does anyone have tips for making flower bouquets from tissue paper? I recently saw a really beautiful one at a girlfriend's place. They looked really good / real. I'm thinking of learning to make 'em as an alternative to giving real flowers. Anyone have any experience giving these? ... as in - are they "good enough" to be given as gifts?

Thanks much,

Linda

Hi Linda,
I'm new on this site but I saw your question and had to respond. My husband helped me make a website to compile some crafts I had made during this past year while being homebound from chemo (for cancer treatment). I welcome you to take a look at them and try to follow the instructions.
You asked if they're a good alternative to real flowers.... well, they really are. Well, I guess it depends who you're giving them to. But as far as how they look, if you do them right, they can look REALLY good. The friends I gave mine couldn't even tell that they weren't real at first glance. Of course, if you look carefully, one can tell Embarassed
Anyway, here are some pics of my creations and you're most welcome to make them and feel free to comment!California Poppies Tissue Paper Flower

Try the Martha Stewart website.  She had someone on in the past few months who made unbelievable paper flowers.

Thanks everyone for your most informative responses. I've managed to make some pretty nice flowers. Little miss, I enjoyed your flowers. I followed your Freesia instructions on your website. My, they do look very real when done. Thanks again.
