My husband is making dragonflies for our soon to be daughter's nursey. He is making the shape of the wings out of wire, but I can't figure out what kind of material to use on the inside. Does anyone have suggestions?
thanks!

it may sound kind of silly but maybe you can use plastic wrap. flatten it out and hold it down with something heavy around the edges the use and exacto blade to cut out the the right shape and size but make them a bit bigger then the actual wire so you can wrap it around the edges then maybe use some kind of spray adhesive i'm not sure. but if your going to put some kind of design on the wing you may want to draw before cutting them out.
If you don't want to use that you could probably use fabric with some kind of fun little kid design and do the same thing except sew them around the wiring of course... I hope this helped and congrats on your new little girl

If your husband is making the dragonfly wings or skeleton out of wires, make sure that the wires are sturdy enough to hold covering materials. You can wrap the wings with stockings. You can pick out any colored or tan colored stockings and stretch it out in the wings to cover it. Then you can paint the wings or stockings with poster paint to any color and design you want. Make a small ball out of the stocking with some cotton or cloth to make the tips of the antennae. Let me know how it works out!

Lace or similar material is always pretty for any type of wings, and there's a huge variety of styles and colors available.
