Where can I find patterns and directions to re-cycle. I have a number of wool skits and would like to know how to felt the fabric and make things with it.

Having recently moved, we needed some different curtains, so I recycled a set by adding a band down the front and across the bottom of each panel. (I used the panels from my old sewing room) The new panels were for the kitchen, so I know I saved at least $20. Next project is to make a small window panel out of a skirt my mom had discarded. The skirt is 100% cotton with some embroidery on it. Was going to make an apron by the hubby saw it and asked if it was a curtain for HIS bath - so........

Hello. I'm not a member here but love Cynthie's idea for milk jugs. I'm gonna use it for sure! I cut off the handles and a save a part of the area around the handle and crochet a scrubby onto it. Oh, I poke holes in the plastic with an ice pick for this. Judy

Love this idea, I have recycled gallon water/milk jugs by cutting of the top just below the handle, punching holes an inch apart around the top of the bottom part then crocheting a 6'' or so collar around it. It makes a great water proof bottomed craft bag or carry your favorite cookies in it then just roll the collar down to cover the plastic to make it look pretty as a serving bowl. I punch the holes with the biggest hole on a belt hole punch tool I have. I'll try to figure out how to up load a picture, I'm new at this. Cynthia
