Finally posted a pattern anyone can use - Heidi - fits most 18" girl dolls (except super narrow ones). Combine with Johanna Spyri's great child's classic book HEIDI for a great gift. (OR get the Shirley Temple DVD of HEIDI--considered a good interpretation of this beloved book...) The Swiss still consider the book Heidi to be probably their most beloved book! And free text and artwork for old editions of Heidi can be found at Gutenburg online!

My daughter (pictured in my photos in the remodeled red dress) and her boyfriend are going to his parents. His brother died of a rare cancer last weekend. They will be attending his funeral, memorial service. This young man (only in his 20s) did save a lot of money and had asked his brother & parents to divide it among some charities, and missions that he loved. Rest in the presence of the Lord, dear one!

Posted a link below to a NEW Womens Wear Daily article about 29 proposed Kate Middleton dresses for the upcoming Royal Wedding! Like her fiance's late mother Princess Di's wedding dress choices, surely many of us, or our daughters/granddaughters/friends...may style our wedding look after Kate's!) I wore a lovely---very full--peach colored bridesmaid dress in the Princess Di style to a wedding...And I also wore this huge, full dress to a costume party a few years later (as a kind of fairy princess...I know maybe a bit LAME!) And somewhere a friend has a photo of a thinner me...holding up part of these huge, wide peach colored skirts & underskirts so I am able to roll the bowling ball down the lane! ...and some DOUBT bridesmaid dresses can't be reworn!!! :::DDD)
