Hi, my name is Jaine and I just bought a sewing machine and I dont know anything about sewing could someone give me some tips to do simple stuff like keep a seam stright and go from left to right instead of forward? I have no clue what I am doing Im just fumbling along.

Try www.youtube.com. Or just google 'basic sewing tutorials', there are hundreds of tutorials and lessons online. Re-word your google search to find different things. If your machine was bought new it should come with a manual, or you could go to the brand's website for ideas. This should get you started, try making easy things like throw pillows and curtains at first before trying to tackle difficult projects. Good luck!

Dear Clueless;
The best thing for you to do is to take a class. Most places that sell sewing machines can hook you up with a class. In addition , many fabric stores will have classes that can help you figure out how to make your sewing machine fun for you.
