Hello everyone! I am new to blogging so please be patient with me? :-) My topic is Charities. I would like to get the word out to all you sewer's, male, female and kids. I would also like to get JoAnns involved! Yipeeee! The charity is ConKerrCancer.Org. We make brightly colored, holiday, kid oriented pillowcases for kids up to 18 years old that are going in to the hospital for Cancer care. Especially chemotherapy. This charity helps kids everywhere, including some of our best MA. hospitals. Check out the web site to see all that get's done. My request from all of you sewer's, especially those that shop here in MA. @ Joann's. There are drop-off site's for your pillowcases across the state. You bring them in, they are then distributed to the area hospital's as needed. The MetroWest area has no drop-off site. I am asking, please, with all my heart, if you could mention to the MGR. of the local Natick JoAnns if they would please consider becoming a drop-off site for these wonderful pillowcases? One of the great benefits of doing this is it get's sewer's to come into the store. I buy all my pillowcase fabric there. I would love to be able to drop off pillowcases and go home with more fabric, thread, a candy bar and a quilting mag! There are other Joanns that collect these pillowcases and it is a great benefit to all. So, please, if you stop in the Natick Store, mention this charity and ask if "our" Joanns would join this wonderful cause? "A Case For Smiles"..... Sincerely, S. Alex
